The Road to Salvation?
The road to Charleston "The Holly City the City of Stepples"
02.02.2009
Day 1,
I started on a journey of self discovery this morning and found that I wasn't alone! I pulled on to the interstate leaving Salisbury leaving friends and a dog and the one I love the most behind looking for something. I traveled down the road speeding to get to a destination that I all know so well. But I found my self today slowing down slower and slower to realize that I wasn't the only one that's been on this road this wondering road. I spotted the first person just outside Columbia there on the side of the road in a spot they will never leave, it was a roadside memoriale. I drove futher down thinking of why that person was there for was he or she looking for something who did they leave behind? I drove futher and
there were more and soon I was taking mental notes of them. Some were big with lots of ribbions and bows and some small and almost unnoticable but they were their none the lest. The road to what is nicknamed the "Holly City or the City of Stepples" was laid with memorries of others. I guess it's fate to why they are there and is it fate or faith we are who we are and where we are?
I've seen today that the roads we travel in life have been traveled many times before we thought about stepping on to it. As many times that I've driven this road and thought of it as a just a means of getting from one place to another I've seen that is what it is. A road a road of souls looking to find something, going from one place to another. For what they was looking for is for them to know and that maybe the ones of us that aren't just driving to get from one place to another will hear their cries saying fate or faith has brought you down this road so listen, listen and listen...... Then there's tommrow until then signing off.
